Cleaning and hygiene technology is a cross-sectional technology. It gains importance in many fields. Examples are medicine, pharmaceutical and food area, buildings, mechanical engineering and construction, automotive industry, aerospace, optics and electronics industry as well as jewellery making.
On the one hand the requirements for functionality, low residue concentrations and hygiene of areas, materials and surfaces increase continuously. On the other hand economic restrictions and legislation lead to an increased necessity of saving resources.
This area of tension determines the work of the wfk – Cleaning Technology Institute when developing reprocessing procedures for textile and non textile materials. The applied research is focused on the needs of industry, which can take advantage of the research results within a short time.
